By selling fish on the market, you will receive game currency, which you can spend on various utilities and access to new game features. For example, you can purchase access to a new reservoir, where there will be other types of fish, including rare ones. Also, money buys new gear, improves the skills of the main character, buys customization items for the cat, and also buys boosters and amplifiers. Even for game money, you can upgrade the cat's boat to be able to swim to special places and catch unique specimens of fish.
