Sonic Rumble Announcement: Battle royale with the heroes of Sonic the Hedgehog for Android

SEGA has officially unveiled Sonic Rumble, a battle royale mobile game where 32 players will compete on colorful and dynamic levels. The gameplay of the game resembles the popular Fall Guys, but instead of avatars, favorite characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe are presented here.

SEGA also announced the beta testing of the game, which will take place from May 24 to 26, 2024. Unfortunately, testing will only be available in the USA.  The official release of Sonic Rumble is scheduled for the winter of 2024-2025.

Features of the game:

• Battle royale for 32 players. Compete with other players in colorful and dynamic levels, using your skills and abilities to become the last survivor.

• Sonic the Hedgehog characters. Choose your favorite character from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, customize his appearance and use his unique abilities to win.

• Various levels. Explore colorful and varied levels filled with obstacles, traps and secrets.

• Collecting rings. Collect gold rings on the levels to customize your characters and unlock new opportunities.

SEGA will lead the development and management of the game. Rovio Entertainment, the creators of Angry Birds, are responsible for global marketing. In the official trailer, you can notice FPS drawdowns, which may indicate the initial stage of development in terms of optimization.  Sonic Rumble looks like a fun and dynamic game that will appeal to fans of the battle royale genre, as well as fans of Sonic the Hedgehog.
