Meta* wants to implement the ability to download apps for iOS and Android through its social network. This will allow them to become serious competitors to Google and Apple in the software market within the European Union.
Zuckerbergs company expects to build a new business in the technology market due to the new DMA law, which will take effect in 2024. It will require developers of popular operating systems to disclose their platforms so that people can download applications from other programs.
At the moment, Meta* will start testing its software on Android smartphones, because iOS cannot be downloaded from sources other than the AppStore.
Participants in the development of this project will be provided with some buns in the form of no commission when paying for applications or inside them. As well as a high premium due to advertising placed on a part of the social network with applications.
Zuckerberg is not the only one who plans to enter this market in 2024. Microsoft also wants to refresh itself by implementing a new store for Androids and Apples in Europe.
