A new game in the Fruit Ninja series has been announced.

Fans of the popular Fruit Ninja mobile game are in for a pleasant surprise! The publisher Halfbrick, through its Discord channel, announced the development of a new part of the franchise, which will offer players a completely different gameplay experience.

Unlike the classic Fruit Ninja, where the main mechanic was cutting fruits with swipes across the screen, the new game will offer deeper interaction with the game world. The developers promise the opportunity to build their own martial arts school and develop the surrounding area. 

In addition to the construction component, the new version will also offer new game modes in which players will have to solve puzzles. The details of these modes are still kept secret, but the very mention of puzzles suggests that the gameplay will become more diverse and will require not only dexterity, but also ingenuity.

The combat component is also not going anywhere, because we have to fight, although it is not yet specified in what format these battles will take place. This may probably be due to completing story stages or participating in special game events.

Another interesting feature of the new game will be the ability to collect ninja characters. Each ninja is likely to have unique abilities or characteristics, which will add an element of strategy to the gameplay. Fans will be able to assemble their own ninja team and use their skills to achieve various goals. The developers have prepared a special surprise for the most successful players – new swords with special abilities. 

At the moment, Halfbrick has given fans the opportunity to choose a name for their new project. The official Discord channel has launched a vote between two options: Fruit Ninja Adventures and Fruit Ninja Journeys. At the time of writing this news, the first option, Fruit Ninja Adventures, is in the lead, but fans still have a chance to influence the final decision.

It is still difficult to clearly define the genre of the new Fruit Ninja. The description of the project evokes associations with the popular "put 3 in a row" format with elements of a home improvement simulator, such as hits such as Homescapes. In such games, players usually complete story levels, earn stars for completing tasks, and spend these stars on setting up a specific location – a mansion, garden, and so on. In this case, it seems that instead of a mansion, you will need to develop and decorate your own martial arts school.

So far, the release date of the new game remains unknown. But the very fact of the announcement suggests that development is in an active phase, and perhaps in the near future there will be more details about the gameplay and release dates.
