Samsung plans to increase battery capacity for Android

A subsidiary of Samsung SDI is engaged in the development and production of batteries. At the moment, she has found investors and partners who are ready to help with the development of a new type of Stacked Battery, which will help overclock the battery capacity by 10%.

A whole tender was held for various enterprises that are able to give Samsung new technologies. Two Chinese companies won the competition, leaving behind the South Korean participants. Now they will work on the territory of Samsung and develop a new technology for stacking batteries.

Koreans are already fully implementing the new system in electric cars. Thanks to this, cars began to live 10% longer without needing to be recharged. Therefore, the success in the electric vehicle sector made it possible to think about other areas in which stacking could be implemented.

Not so long ago, Samsung was criticized for lagging behind in terms of battery specifications and high-speed charging. But according to insiders, the upcoming S24 will already work on the technology brought by Chinese partners. By the way, Apple also wants to be able to use batteries of this type in the new iPhone 15.

The anode and cathode membranes are stacked, which primarily increases the safety of using the device on such batteries. Further, its capacity increases, and with the current capacity of the battery, it will be possible to reduce the battery pack.
