Game developer Animation Arts has announced a mobile port of the Monolith game, which will be released on operating systems in autumn-winter 2024. Prior to that, there were rumors about the creation of a mobile version due to leaks from 2016. However, the PC version was released only in October last year. Unfortunately, the game did not receive a Russian localization, which partly negatively affected its popularity among the Russian-speaking community.

The game takes players into the atmosphere of science fiction games of the late 90s and early 2000s, recalling such iconic projects as the Syberia series. You will have several exciting hours of gameplay, part of which will unfold on an unknown planet, where you, as the character of Tessa, will have to fight for survival.

During the game, you will visit 50 locations that are hand-drawn. The developers promise an exciting gameplay, but some players in their reviews of the PC version note the possibility of skipping puzzles.

Many people call the main disadvantage the plot, which, leaving many questions, does not give them exhaustive answers. Is it worth waiting for a mobile release?

The Monolith mobile port can be a great way to get to know the game for those who missed its release on PC.

Positive:

  • Atmospheric sci-fi setting.
  • Beautiful hand-drawn drawing.
  • Addictive gameplay.

Minuses:

  • A short story.
  • Not all puzzles can be intuitive.
  • The lack of Russian localization (at the time of the announcement).

The decision on whether to wait for a mobile release is up to you. But one thing is for sure: Monolith is a game that deserves the attention of fans of nostalgic sci-fi adventures.
