Parallel imports will be banned for Samsung and LG for Android

The head of the Ministry of Digital Technology Development of the Russian Federation told reporters that they are considering a ban on the import of equipment that has analogues developed domestically or by friendly countries. Of course, this will also affect smartphones, but so far only Samsung and LG.

Currently, there is an active discussion with the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the prohibition of parallel import of smartphones, since there are analogues from China on the market.

It is unclear about LG smartphones. The production of models of these smartphones stopped two years ago. They did not clarify this issue, but they reassured Apple owners that there would be no cessation of iPhone imports.

There was also no mention of Japanese smartphones or Google Pixel. But Samsung definitely wants to ban Russian users from using it.
